International collaboration

Professor Zlatko Šatović visited dr. sc. Carlotu Vaz Patto , Head of PlantX at the Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier (ITQB), a scientific research and advanced training institute of the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal. Dr Carlota Vaz Patto is an expert in quantitative crop genetics and molecular plant breeding collaborating with CroP-BioDiv Common Bean Working Group lead by Dr Klaudija Carović-Stanko. During his stay at ITQB Professor Zlatko Šatović gave lectures on Modern Strategies in Plant Breeding for the students of the International PhD program in Plant Sciences – Plants for Life  and held the seminar on Genetic Demography of Dalmatian sage (Salvia officinalis L.): A Journey to the Past  during which he explained the structure and objectives of CroP-BioDiv and invited the researchers from ITQB to collaborate.

International collaboration

Professors Zlatko Šatović and Zlatko Liber visited Dr Alison Bentley , Director of Genetics and Breeding at the National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB) located in Cambridge, UK. Dr Alison Bentley in an expert in genomics applied to breeding of cereals collaborating with CroP-BioDiv Wheat Working Group lead by Dr Dario Novoselović.
