Dr. sc. Angjelina Belaj and dr. sc. Raul de la Rosa researches at The Andalusian Institute of Research and Training in Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Ecological Production (IFAPA), Center “Alameda del Obispo”, Córdoba, Spain visited the Institute for Adriatic Crops and Karst Reclamation, Split. Dr Belaj and dr de la Rosa are experts in olive genetics responsible for the maintenance of the World Olive Germplasm Bank of Córdoba (WOGBC), one of the world’s largest collections of olive germplasm collaborating with CroP-BioDiv Olive Working Group lead by Dr Tatjana Klepo, Institute for Adriatic Crops and Karst Reclamation, Split. During their stay in Croatia dr Belaj and dr de la Rosa gave lectures on Prospection, Conservation and Management of Olive Genetic Resources in an International Olive Germplasm Collection and Utilization of Olive Genetic Resources in Olive Breeding.
